Lesson 99: Onomatopoeia

The word "Onomatopoeia" comes from the Greek language, meaning "to make a sound". “拟声词”一词来自希腊语，意为“发出声音”。 So these are words whose meanings are just the sounds they make! 因此，这些单词的含义只是它们发出的声音！

baa: The sheep went "baa" and ran away in panic. 羊们“baa”起来，慌乱地逃跑了。 bang: The chairman banged on the table for attention. 主席猛撞在桌子上以引起注意。 bark: Next door's dog barks every time someone walks past. 每当有人走过去时，隔壁的狗就会吠叫。 beep: Turn your phone off so that it doesn't beep during the meeting. 关闭手机，使其在会议期间不会发出哔声。 boom: At night you can hear the boom of the waves on the rocks of the beach. 到了晚上，您可以听到海滩岩石上的海浪声。
